Meet Purna Devi
Purna Devi is the founder of Purna Devi Healing Arts and the creator of the Whole Self Healing Program, an integrative approach to trauma-informed healing that supports the nervous system, subconscious mind, and deeper dimensions of the self.
Since 2010, she has worked with individuals navigating trauma, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and the deeper questions of personal and spiritual growth.
Her work bridges trauma-informed nervous system practices with reflective and spiritual integration, creating a space where people can begin to process what they have been carrying and reconnect with a deeper sense of themselves.
A Personal Path to Healing
Purna’s work is shaped not only by formal training, but by a deeply personal journey.
Having navigated a traumatic childhood, experiences of abuse, and overcoming addiction, she understands firsthand how survival patterns become embedded in the nervous system and shape the way we move through the world.
Her own healing journey became a lifelong path of study, practice, and spiritual inquiry.
Over the past two decades she has immersed herself in philosophy, psychology, yoga and Vedanta, trauma-informed healing practices, and contemplative traditions that explore the nature of consciousness and human transformation.
These experiences continue to inform the compassionate and grounded approach she brings to her work today.
Spiritual Lineage & Study
Purna is honored to be part of the Sivananda Sarasvati tradition, a lineage of spiritual philosophy tracing back to the great yogic seer Sri Adi Shankaracharya.
In 2016 she received spiritual initiation from her teacher, Swami Prem Sadasivananda Ji, affirming her dharmic path of service as a practitioner and guide.
As part of this initiation she was given the spiritual name Purna Devi.
“Purna” refers to wholeness or completeness, while “Devi” represents the divine feminine principle expressed through compassion, strength, and presence.
These teachings continue to inform the deeper philosophical foundation of her work.
Purna continues her studies in Vedantic philosophy and Sanskrit, and receives ongoing mentorship from her Guru while also studying Vedic chanting with classical teacher Shantala Ji, founder of Veda Studies.
Training & Professional Background
In addition to her spiritual studies, Purna has pursued training in a range of healing and counseling modalities that support the integrative approach she now brings to her work.
Her background includes:
• Clinical hypnotherapy and past-life regression therapy
• Trauma-informed coaching and mentorship training
• Advanced and specialized Yoga trainings
• Reiki Master and Teacher training in two lineages
• Prenatal, birth, and postpartum doula training
• Somatic and nervous system–based healing approaches
• Study of shamanic healing traditions and ceremonial practices
These modalities inform the work she offers today, though her sessions draw primarily from trauma-informed nervous system healing, subconscious integration, and reflective guidance.
Philosophy of the Work
At the heart of Purna’s work is the understanding that healing is not simply about eliminating symptoms.
It is about reclaiming the whole self.
Many of us learned to adapt to life by pushing parts of ourselves aside in order to survive.
Over time those adaptations can become deeply embedded patterns in the nervous system and subconscious mind.
Through a combination of trauma-informed practices, reflective inquiry, and spiritual integration, this work supports the gradual process of bringing those parts back into awareness and integration.
As the nervous system settles and unresolved experiences are processed, many people reconnect with clarity, resilience, and a deeper sense of alignment with their lives.
An Invitation
No matter your background or the reasons that bring you here, working with Purna is an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and begin reconnecting with the parts of yourself that have been waiting for attention.
Healing does not require perfection.
It begins with the willingness to explore what your system has been carrying and to move toward wholeness one step at a time.
